§ 58-2. Use of tobacco or similar substances on county buses.
(a)
Findings. The county council finds that the regulation of the use of tobacco products on the buses owned and/or operated by the county is needed in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the riders and drivers of said buses.
(b)
Declaration of nuisance. The use of tobacco or similar substances, in any manner, on the buses owned and/or operated by the county is declared to be a public nuisance.
(c)
Posting of notice. The county shall have placed on all buses owned and/or operated by the county a sign that shall give notice to the riders of this prohibition. Said sign shall be placed in a location visible to the riders of said buses and shall read:
THE USE OF TOBACCO IS PROHIBITED IN THIS VEHICLE.

Penalty. Any person who violates this section shall be punished as provided in section 1-7.
