§ 20-298. Appearance and identification requirements.
No person shall solicit without complying at all times with each of the following requirements:
(1)
Solicitors must have clean and neat apparel.
(2)
Shirts must have sleeves and a collar with the exception of cold weather wear, i.e., sweatshirt, jacket, raingear.
(3)
Shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and raingear must identify the nature of the solicitation (e.g., time share sales, vacation ownership marketing, condo sales, restaurant sales, bar sales, amusement sales, etc.) in common everyday terminology approved by the department in at least one-inch block letters in contrasting color on the front and back of the shirt above the elbow and the name of the business shall be printed on the front and back of the shirt in a form readable at ten feet.
(4)
The solicitor's picture identification card shall be visible at all times and worn on front of the shirt above the armpit.
