§ 110-708. Authority to borrow funds.

  • The county council is authorized and empowered, in order to carry out the purpose of this article, after the levy of taxes in any year, to borrow, in anticipation of said levied taxes, a sum not to exceed 50 percent of the anticipated taxes to be received in accord with the prescribed levy fixed for mosquito and sand fly control purposes for the coming year and to issue its promissory notes therefor upon such terms and at such rates of interest not exceeding the maximum rate established by law as said county council may deem advisable. Any note so made and issued shall be paid out of any revenues or funds of the county council and said notes shall be a charge upon all the revenues and property of the county council.
