§ 86-335. Extension of probationary period.

  • (a)

    If an appointing authority believes additional time is required to evaluate an employee due to extenuating circumstances which did not allow the employee to be fully evaluated during the normal probationary period, prior to the end of probation (s)he may request an extension of the probationary period.

    (b)

    The human resources director may grant an extension up to but not to exceed three months if he determines there are valid reasons for such extension.
