§ 86-262. Order of eligible lists for certification.

If an eligible list is utilized a certification shall be made from eligible existing lists in the order of their precedence as follows:

(1)

Layoff list.

(2)

Promotional eligible list, divisional or departmental.

(3)

Promotional eligible list, countywide.

(4)

Reinstatement list (optional).

(5)

Open competitive eligible list.

(6)

"Appropriate" lists as approved by the human resources director.
