§ 86-523. Absence without leave.

  • An absence of an employee from duty, including any absence for a single day or part of a day, that is not authorized by specific grant of leave under the provisions of this article shall be deemed to be an absence without leave and shall be without pay.

    (1)

    Disciplinary action. Any absence without leave may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, depending upon the circumstances of the situation.

    (2)

    Absence for three days. In the absence of disciplinary action, any employee who is absent for three consecutive days without leave shall be deemed to have resigned.
