§ 86-454. Types of disciplinary action.
(a)
Ordinarily, disciplinary action will be progressive beginning with the least severe action that may be reasonably expected to be effective. Because some acts of misconduct and performance related offenses are so serious as to warrant immediate dismissal or termination, the county reserves the right to immediately dismiss or terminate an employee on a first offense without imposing progressive discipline.
(b)
Types of disciplinary action from least severe to most severe are:
(1)
Oral reprimand.
(2)
Written reprimand.
(3)
Suspension.
(4)
Reduction in pay.
(5)
Demotion.
(6)
Dismissal.
