§ 72-1367. Outdoor lighting.

  • Outdoor lighting shall be provided in accordance with the following regulations:

    (1)

    In no case shall illumination from the property increase the level of illumination at the property line by more than one-half foot-candles.

    (2)

    Light fixtures shall be downward directed and fully shielded, and shall be placed so as not to cause light trespass or glare beyond the property boundary.

    (3)

    The maximum height of a light pole shall be 25 feet.

    (4)

    Light poles and light fixtures shall be architecturally consistent with the design theme of the development.

    (5)

    The total lumen cap for the property shall not exceed an average of two foot-candles per acre.

    (6)

    A signed and sealed illumination plan prepared by a licensed engineer shall be provided to the county for compliance determination during site plan review, prior to the issuance of a development order.

    (7)

    Outdoor lighting for residential uses shall be provided in accordance with section 50-480.
