§ 46-142. Director's office established.

  • There is further established the position of director of the division, which, for purposes of this article, shall be referred to as director. The director shall supervise the day-to-day operations of the division. The director shall be appointed by, serve at the pleasure of and be subject to the direction and control of, the county manager. The director shall have those responsibilities enumerated in F.S. § 252.38 for directors of county emergency management agencies, including, but not limited to, direct responsibility for the organization, administration, and operation of the division; coordination of emergency management activities, services, and programs within the county; and shall serve as a liaison to the state division of emergency management, or its successor, and to other local emergency management agencies and organizations.
