§ 2-273. Change orders and budgeted amounts.
(a)
The purchasing director shall have the authority to approve contract modifications, change orders and contract price adjustments not to exceed $25,000.00 cumulatively. Any modification, change order or price adjustment to a contract which would cause the contract's cumulative total dollar value to exceed $25,000.00 requires approval in accordance with section 2-272.
(b)
The county manager shall have the authority to approve contract modifications, change orders and contract price adjustments not to exceed $50,000.00 cumulatively. Any modification, change order, or price adjustment to a contract which would cause the contract's cumulative total dollar value to exceed $50,000.00 requires county council approval in accordance with section 2-272.
(c)
The purchasing director and the county manager, as applicable, shall, when any contract whose final cost is less than the award or less than the budgeted amount, have the authority to approve the contract modification, change order or price adjustment.
