§ 20-233. Beach concession agreement required.

  • A beach concession agreement shall be required to solicit or canvass for the sale or rental of any merchandise, services, goods or property of any kind or character. The agreement shall grant to the concessionaire the right to sell or rent specified goods or services on the beach, either from a fixed location or from a moving vehicle within a zone of operation on the beach. Such agreement shall provide the exclusive authority to sell or rent goods or services within a defined area or zone of operation on the beach, and shall be renewable only at the option of the county. These goods and services shall be provided as set forth in the beach concession agreement. The agreement shall be revocable under the procedures set forth in the agreement. The county retains the right to grant additional agreements to sell, rent or otherwise provide goods and services not currently provided from locations on or adjacent to the beach, either upon a regular, seasonal or intermittent basis, including in connection with a permitted special event.
