Effective October 1, 2017, each rental car company shall collect, on behalf of the
county and from its customers, a customer facility charge (CFC) of $2.50 per transaction
day, which collections shall be reported monthly on forms approved by the county manager
or his/her designee. The CFC may be periodically adjusted at any time by resolution
of the county council; however, commencing October 1, 2020, the county manager shall
have the administrative authority to raise such CFC up to, but not to exceed, $4.50.
