§ 118-64. Parking, stopping or standing prohibited in specified places.
Parking, stopping or standing is prohibited in specified places, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a law enforcement officer, traffic enforcement officer or official traffic control devices. No person shall park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger, at any place where official signs or traffic control devices prohibit parking, or in a fire lane. Parking fees may be levied and assessed at areas properly signed by the county manager or designated by resolution of the county council. Beach passes purchased pursuant to section 20-202 shall be valid and the fee waived within county operated beach parking lots, except the Ocean Center. Fees shall be collected between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. each day. Any person who parks in a designated area shall deposit in the fee collection device the amount indicated thereon for the time desired to have the vehicle parked. When the time is elapsed, the vehicle shall be immediately removed from the space or deposit fee for the additional time for which it is desired to have the vehicle parked. No all night parking will be allowed.
