§ 114-152. Creation.

  • There is hereby created a special taxing district to be known as the West Volusia Convention Development Tax District, described as follows:

    All that portion of the county, lying westerly and southerly of the Halifax Convention Tax District, as same presently exists, and west of State Road 415, more particularly described as follows: All that portion of the county lying southerly and westerly of the following described lines: Beginning at the Putnam-Volusia County line, on the easterly shoreline of Lake George, thence northeasterly along said Putnam-Volusia County line to its intersection with the Flagler-Volusia County line; thence southerly along the Flagler-Volusia County line to the south line of Flagler County (north line of Volusia County); thence easterly along the Flagler-Volusia County line to its intersection with the northwest corner of Section 30, Township 14 South, Range 31 East; thence south along the west line of Sections 30 and 31, Township 14 South, Range 31 East to its intersection with the north line of Township 15 South, Range 31 East; thence west along the north line of Township 15 South, Range 31 East to the northwest corner of Township 15 South, Range 31 East; thence south along the west line of Township 15 South, Range 31 East to the southwest corner of Township 15 South, Range 31 East; thence east along the south line of Township 15 South to the point of intersection with the centerline of State Road 415; thence southerly along the centerline of State Road 415 to its point of intersection with the Seminole-Volusia County line in the St. Johns River.
