Article IV. DISPOSAL OF WASTE AND USED TIRES |
§ 106-161. Definitions.
The definitions provided in Fla. Admin. Code Ann. r. 62-701.200 shall apply to this article. Otherwise, the following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Director means the director of solid waste management division, department of public works, or his designee.
Generator means a person not defined as a tire dealer or transporter who generates waste tires in the ordinary course of business.
Junk dealer means any person engaged in a business whose conduct generates waste tires.
Person means any entity, individual, corporation, partnership and/or joint venture.
Processor means a person who collects waste tires for the purpose of recycling the waste tire into a marketable product.
Tire dealer means any person engaged in the business of selling new, recapped or used tires or in the business of recapping tires.
Transporter means any person engaged in the business of transporting waste tires for hire and who is subject to being licensed under this article.
Ultimate disposal site means a permitted landfill, properly permitted recycling facility or properly permitted disposal facility or operation which complies with state law.
