§ 106-62. Establishment of rates.

(a)

The county council shall hold a public hearing when needed to adopt a commercial rate schedule to include maximum allowable collection rates under this division. Such rate schedule may include:

(1)

The maximum commercial collection service charge per uncompacted cubic yard of refuse bin.

(2)

The franchise fee, including amount and conditions of payment.

(3)

The transportation license fee.

(b)

The county shall not grant an increase in the maximum allowable collection rate unless the financial statements required are submitted in a timely manner to the director. The director shall determine the financial statements required.

(c)

The county shall not establish rates for roll-off containers or compacted refuse.
